Our owner, Nick Hewitt, grew up immersed in the world of carpentry, learning from his father and grandfather. With the unwavering support of his wife, Paige, Nick transformed his childhood dream into a reality in 2016, and the Hewitt Building Co. was born.

Our commitment to delivering exceptional quality and fostering strong client relationships has allowed us to grow from humble beginnings to a flourishing design and build company. We pride ourselves on crafting breathtaking custom homes and kitchen and bath remodels.

In 2019, we decided to take our game to the next level by bringing design in-house. Today, you can find our welcoming office across from the Calhoun County Building in Marshall, where we continue to create dream homes and lasting memories for our valued customers.

If you’re looking for a job done right, Hewitt Building company is the one to hire! In my case they have done multiple jobs for me in the past. They display quality craftsmanship from start to finish and that’s what you look for in a contractor. Attention to detail is always appreciated, but they’re super professional, honest and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this company.

We stopped by a work area to find it was being completed by Hewitt Building Co. Nick came to our house and reviewed what we needed and gave us a quote and a specific time frame for completion. We are very pleased with the work, professionalism in processing the work done.

Nick and Hewitt Build Company worked with us to build our dream lake house. From start to finish, Nick shared our vision and worked hard to make sure it came to fruition. He has a keen eye for detail and had great input when it came to finishes. We are beyond thrilled with the final product. Our only negative would be that they didn’t meet the timeline they initially gave us, but I think that is pretty common with contractors. We would totally work with Nick and his team again and in fact already have him lined up for another project on our property.

Quoted for a garage at $17,500. After I awarded Nick the job, he said he "forgot" to add a driveway leading to the garage. Apparently a 20ft section of driveway costs $7,000. After several no call-no shows and multiple delays and setbacks with drawings, I ended up needing to move for my job (half a year later). Nick agreed to refund my money (almost $14,000). A year later I've only been refunded $6,500. I've since had to sue him and haven't been able to move yet because of it. Nick's a nice guy, but a pathetic excuse for a business man.
